    Xbox 360 s freezes when i try to delete incomplete download content


    I recently ran into the problem of my xbox 360 freezing after a recent update have found the solution of deleting the incomplete download and clearing the cache... which i believe is the solution but when i hit delete the xbox freezes .. please help

    Hi there, I would suggest going through your hard drive and deleting all incomplete or corrupt files of the failed downloads and trying to re-download through your history:

    support.xbox.com/.../view-download-history

    Don't just re-download the game, make sure to delete the incomplete downloads first.

    Delete your cache and delete any incomplete files and try to download again.

    Download content

    Try going onto your Dashboard and go to your harddrive and delete the incomplete DLC you are referring to. Then go to your download history and download the DLC in question again to your harddrive. This should clear that up I think. Hope it helps.

    To get to your Download History:

    Sign in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that you used when you originally purchased the content.

    Go to settings and select Account.

    In your Xbox 360 settings

    Select Download History.

    Browse your download history. Select the DLC, and then select Download Again.

    Hey XiTaliaN

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with installing content on your Xbox 360.

    It is likely that the content that are attempting to download may already have a different instance of it on your console already. If this is the case, it is probably considered an incomplete or corrupted download and you may need to search in your Storage
    and delete any remnants of it, before you are able to install this accordingly.

    I recommend taking a look at the article that covers
    content won't download to your Xbox 360     and see if some of the steps depicted here work for you.

    Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

    i am having trouble playing my map packs and games i downloaded the apps on my old console and put it on my hardrive the hardrive is in my new xbox it sais that the games are there but i cant play them :( some one please help

    Sorry to hear it. You should try doing a license transfer to the new console then redownload all your content with the gamertag(s) that originally downloaded it. There is no need to delete the content first. To redownload the content go to Settings>Accounts>Download
