Xbox 360 s error code 4451 - 445E - 2780 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034

Bought an Xbox 360 s off of eBay, the model is the one with the 4 gb flash storage, so I bought a 250 gb internal (official Microsoft) hard drive. The console boots up, but immediately after it tries to update and then I get the error code 4451 - 445E - 2780 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034, Can’t read the update from your storage device. Please reinsert it to continue the update. I have messed around with reinserting the hard drive, trying to install from usb, to no avail. Is there anything else I can do or am I stuck with this situation?
