Xbox 360 S disk drive problems

So i bought a refurbished 360 S from gamestop and it worked great with no problems. One day, i brought it to a friends and when i brought it home i put it, along with the box it was in, on a (regrettably) slippery surface on my bed, which i thought was safe.
I turned away to do something for two seconds and the box that my 360 was in fell on the floor off my bed throwing my 360 out of it. Now whenever i put any game in, it says play dvd. There are are a few times it works but i dont trust running the game in case
it can't read it mid-play. I don't know what to do, whether to contact Microsoft about repair or Gamestop. Either way, I would really like to know what to do and if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

and I am connecting internet through wireless

and disk drive is working properly.

 

Disk Drive won't stay closed

I've got an interesting problem with my Xbox 360 S, as soon as I close the disk drive it opens back up. It has no problems sliding in and out and will shut if I push it in manually but won't read the disk, anyone know how to fix this?

 

How long ago did you purchase the console? You could try contacting Gamestop for an exchange if it hasn't been too long. If you contact phone support to set up a repair you'll need to pay for the repair.
