Xbox 360 ring on disc

one day I was playing sonic generations on my 360 I open the disc tray I put it in than it made a huge ring on my disc I put it back in then the game won,t work I try cleaning the ring off but still the ring on there can I get help with my disc cause it
can,t work anymore

Xbox 360 white lines

Instead of sending it in for repairs try this here

1. Turn off your Xbox 360

2. Take out the disc

3. Clean disc (optional)

4. Unplug everything in the back (power chord, audio, video chords)

5. Let sit unplugged for about 15-30 seconds

6. Plug it all back up

7. Power on the console with a game, movie, or music disc inside of the Xbox 360 Console

see if this makes any difference for you.

Normally the red rings mean;

1 Ring- Hard Drive Failure and/or troubles

2 Rings- Overheating

3- Rings- The RRoD (The Red Ring of Death)

How do i stop my Xbox 360 from making rings.

I have an original Xbox 360 and it makes ring on a lot of my discs i have went and repaired my discs but i keeps happening. some time my dog might step on my Xbox. how would i make my disc drive stronger, so that it doesn't make rings as easily.

Sorry to hear it. The circle scratch that you describe only happens if the console is moved or bumped while the disc is in and spinning. In a case like this you can either take it to a store that has a disc repair machine to see if that helps or replace
the disc.

I would also like to mention that if you have your console standing on end or on an unstable surface you should place it laying flat so there is no chance of movement.

Have had a quick look at my 3 disc games (one Xbox One, 2 Xbox 360) and, yes, the XB1 disc has 2 rings there.

However, on the picture side of the disc, there is a silver ring around the hole...on Xbox 360 games, you will see XBox 360 in the Silver area or Xbox One depending on the platform

Bon3zz is 100% right, you should never stand up or move your 360 with a disc in, it will laser burn the disc, my gamestation calls it "stood up" its a fact

but in saying that i think the OP's ring on the disc is the natural one on the edge, there is a ring on the edge of all discs, it shimmers that is fine, alls dics have that, what we mean is a laser burn ring, which will 100% happen if you move your 360 while
the disc is spinning, lots of people stand up thier console and have never had a problem, but i say this, you will one day.
