XBOX 360 resets itself after signing into XBOX live

This problem began when I tried downloading the free gold game of the month, bioshock infinite. It doesn't download and the Xbox resets itself. I now have about 5 seconds after signing into Xbox live before the console resets itself. I now can only play
    games offline.

I had managed once to delete everything from "active downloads" and it seemed to work for a while.

Of course, the games I play eventually need updates, so when Magic2015 needed one and I tried downloading it it doesn't and the xbox now resets itself everytime I sign into xbox live.

When I wasn't having this issue (after I cancelled the bioshock download but before I accepted the Magic2015 update), for process of elimination I tried to download a previous free gold game (Shoot many robots) that I had downloaded on a previous console
(I upgrade consoles), the download failed and the console began resetting itself.

I am getting frustrated with this issue, and frankly I don't think all these resets are good for the console.

I've had to figure out ways to get it to work, I deleted my profile and recovered it and I seemed to be able to make it to the active downloads page before it resets. But this doesn't seem to work anymore. To play offline I have to disconnect from my network
    and they sign in.

    :)

Unable to unlock any 360 Achievements and what was there is missing

I am unable to unlock any xbox 360 achievements since signing into my profile on an xbox one.

I had reset the 360 and after signing back into it noticed all my 360 achievements are now at 0.

I've tried factory reset, removing and readding my profile and nothing is working.

Years of effort to unlock them is all gone

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

    Hiya Zuke69

Not sure if you've resolved your issue yet, and I am sorry it has taken so long for someone to reply.

If it is not resolved, there are a few things I'd like you to try, but not all in one go to elimate the problem we'll try different things at a time.

    Step 1.

    - Go to the dashboard, navigate to the far right for settings then go to System > Storage > Hard Drive > Press X for delete suggestions.

    Step 2.

    - Find any file in your delete suggestions (which will list all the files on your hard drive) and delete any that appear to have a yellow icon indicating corrupt or incomplete files. Go ahead and delete every last one of those, and then go back to Settings
    > System > Storage > Then highlight the Hard Drive pres "Y" to bring up device options, then go ahead and clear the system cache.

    Step 3.

    - Shut down your xbox, once it is fully shut down, either unplug it from the wall/extension, or simply just wait for the green light on the powerpack to change from green to amber. And then go ahead and boot it up and see if the problem still persists

If none of this worked, please go back to Settings > System > Storage > Highlight the Hard Drive and press the buttons in this order "Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, Left Bumper, Right Bump, X" This will roll back the system update. Note: This will NOT erase
any of your Avatars, Gamerpictures, Games, DLC or gamesaves. It will simply download the update again.

Note: Sometimes incomplete downloads or corrupt files on the harddrive can impact the stability of the console. This could occur when previously attempting to download, and you cancelled the downloads, or had any drop in connection making them incomplete
    or corrupt.

Please give us a follow-up on whether or not this resolved your issue, so that other members who are experiencing the same issue can browse through past threads in the forum for a instant resolution.

I hope you get it sorted so you can get back to your gaming!

    All the best,

    Dan

    Hey criosphynx,

I was on the online chat support for a while and we went through the steps you mentioned. The steps included clearing cache of both drives three times, deleting my profile, installing the system update, deleting the corrupt files.

It seemed to work for a lil while, although the bigger games (7GB) I downloaded just said "can't download item" after a certain percentage, but at least the console wasn't restarting. I did download smaller games, Terrataria entirely but bigger games wouldn't.

Then it started happening again. It seems all games I was downloaded corrupted as soon as I began downloading. They always appeared as yellow icons in the storage.

I was frustrated and was going to consider giving up xbox live. If I can't get free games and logging on sometimes resets my console there's no point.

i was fed up and moved my saved games to my memory unit and formatted my hard drive. Since I've done so, so far it hasn't messed u on me.

    Xbox live connection suddenly ceased

So it appears to be some sort of hardware bug in the Xbox 360 itself. Thanks for posting the power cycling of the console I have delete and reset everything with multiple reboots with no success. Unplugging the Xbox 360 (I did one minute) and as soon as
I powered it back on it downloaded an Xbox live update and let me sign back in to Xbox live.

My gamerscore just lowered a couple thousands

If it's all Xbox One games then it's a glitch that will fix itself.

If it's 360 games, then it can be a sign of a gamerscore reset.
