    Xbox 360 reset code doesn't work?


    Hi,

    My girlfriend's sister recently bought a 2nd hand xbox 360 S 250GB and there is a family passcode on it. I registered the device and I tried to reset the code but for some reason nothing happens when I enter in the pattern that is suppose to reset the console.

    Just wondering if there is any other way to reset the family code?

    Hello Justine,

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question on resetting a passcode. Unfortunately, the only way to do the reset is how you re doing it. We recommend trying it over as sometimes takes a few tries.

    I have the same issue and error code. I have reset my network, factory reset Xbox 360 and cleared cache. I have downloaded the update to a USB also but it still doesn't work. Oh I have also removed my profiles on the system and now can't download the profiles
    back because I have no connection to Xbox Live!

    What is going on? Kids are about to get new games for xmas and Xbox doesn't work period.

    Xbox one account password is too long to enter into Xbox 360

    NVM. I went the route through the 360/internet explorer to get it reset. Had to redeem a code (for Fallout 3) that would not work on my Xbox one. It did work on the 360.
