    Xbox 360 Repair service


    I recently ordered a service repair for my Xbox 360, but I may want to cancel the order as I have found better repair options. If I cancel, will I get a full refund?

    Note: I have not sent it the Xbox for repair yet, I have just paid the fee.

    Microsoft has a very firm approach, regarding console repair services.

    Ah, boo. OK. To be honest, it is sounding like that console may need a repair. You can request one here, it's honestly a pretty quick process: Xbox 360 Repair | Xbox

    Just as a final check though, are you getting any error codes currently? If it's freezing without any codes I would suggest the repair.

    360 Slim overheating, warranty over

    Hello Kekoakupono,

    By opening the Xbox 360 console, it is no longer eligible to be repaired at the servicing center. According to the Exclusions From Service section on the Terms and Conditions for repair:

    Microsoft reserves the right to refuse Service on Xbox Products that are:... (3) opened, modified, or tampered with.

    My suggestion is to get another Xbox 360.

    In-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console was serviced within the original warranty period (free repair), you receive either the balance of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.

    Out-of-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console was serviced out of the original warranty period (paid repair), your serviced console will have a 90-day warranty
