    xbox 360 red dot


    HI

    when i push the start button after 4 sec the green light changes to red(only the middle dot is red there r no other lights on the circle)

    i pressed the controller syc button and the ejct tray button to see the number of the error and its 0101

    is there somthing to do???

    red dot problem

    my XBOX 360 was working fine until a red dot appears and my screen goes black I did try removing HDD

    it worked for 5 minutes and the red dot came back is there any other possible cause for the red dot and if there how do I resolve it

    Hmm. Seems you have a hardware problem. The Consoles don't like dirt/dust. Remove game disk and turn off console. Carefully clean around the console then follow support instructions.

    It looks like it's the Red Dot of Death, if it's a solid red dot, it's Hardware Failure as in the console has died,

    Best option would be to upgrade to an Xbox One / S / X, or to save up and wait until late November - December for the Xbox Series S / X.

    Hello Tester,

    Man sorry to hear about the console troubles. Let's see if we can get this working.

    Here is what to do if you get a red dot on your console:

    1. Let the power supply cool for about 30 minutes.
    2. Plug the power supply into a different wall outlet.
    3. Disconnect and reconnect all accessories.
    4. Check the power supply.
    5. Remove the hard drive.
    6. If the above steps don’t solve the issue, order a replacement power supply from the Xbox Online Service Center.

    If steps 1-5 do not work, step 6 will be the final solution.

    Self-repair violates the terms of use and would put you at risk for being banned. That's why it can't be discussed. As stated earlier, you can try contacting support for a repair.
