Xbox 360 profile recovery reverse compatibility

hey guys,

so I changed my gamer tag on my Xbox one last Night And I've recently been playing red dead redemption under the new backwards compatibilty feature ... But now that I have changed my gamer tag it doesnt let me play it anymore.. I have to sign in again on
the 360 through reverse compatibility .and everytime I go to sign it, it says it can't be downloaded and I have to try downloading again... After I go through the downloading process, it then tells me the Xbox live cannot recover the profile at this time ..
I do not have my Xbox 360 anymore so I can't do anything solution wise the physical 360 console. Thanks so much

because they cant just offer any game, they need the publishers permission, its up to activision to allow games to be compatible

Hey glacci -

Let's try clearing your local Xbox 360 storage through your Xbox One console. Here are the steps to do that staring from your Xbox One dashboard:

Open up the Guide Menu

Scroll down to 'Settings'

Click 'All Settings'

Scroll down to 'System'

Scroll over to 'Storage'

Select 'Clear local Xbox 360 storage'

Select 'Yes'

Your Xbox One will restart. At that point, you can attempt to load up your Xbox 360 game again and re-sync your Xbox Live account.

Give that a try and let us know if it works!

Thanks for keeping us updated on your issue with Dark Souls. The game is reverse compatible (Xbox One backward compatibility FAQ) so
you should be able to play it on your Xbox One; however, since you keeping getting that message asking it you own it (which you've already tested out on your 360), then what you may need to do is refresh the profile on your Xbox One's 360 emulator.

To bring up the emulator, launch any 360 game on your Xbox one. When you see the Xbox 360 graphic load, press the View & Menu buttons (2 small buttons in the center of the controller) simultaneously for a few seconds. This will bring up the 360 Guide. From
there, you'll want to remove your profile and then choose to re-download it to the console. This should refresh your entitlements and allow you to launch the game.

Hi,

I have sold this Xbox 360 years before and uses Profile recovery before selling it. Now I used Profile Recovery again, there was another console in it, maybe thats the problem.
