    Xbox 360 Profile not downloading to xbox one


    So since about 3 updates ago, and yes I am in the preview program as is my wife, I have not been able to play any 360 game on my xbox one. My wife cannot either. We did have our roommate and some other people not in the preview program test a 360 game
    and they worked just fine but we cannot play any 360 game on XB1. We have called in and been refered to the forums. We would like to remain in the preview program but this is something that we would like addressed as soon as possible since we have a lot
    of 360 games. We have tried removing the profiles from the xbox and readding, have purged all informaiton from the xbox but still no change. Any one have any ideas?

    Backwards compatibility question

    You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

    Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

    Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

    you enter your credit card info and download your profile online. which xbox?? 360 or One?

    Hi!

    When you are in the X360 emulation program, try pressing the "view" and "menu" buttons on the controller. Check that the profile has been correctly imported on the original X360 menu or if the connection to the Live service is not found.

    So I tried that and evidently my wife posted about this and she was told the same thing so i check both with and still nothing, the 360 profile isn't there and still will not download to either xbox

    Hiya!

    Since those steps did not work let's see if
    removing your Xbox One profile     and
    power cycling     the console will help shake that account loose.

    If that does not help could you share your consoles current MTU with us? You should be able to find that under Settings > Network.

    Post back and let us know how that goes!

    Can you increase that to 1500 on your router and see if you run into the same issues?

    so its is 1500 on the router but the xbox is still saying 1480 and no change

    Thanks for trying that!

    In this case, submit a bug through the Insider app and then post in the
    Insider forums     so they can look into exactly what is causing the issue.

    Be sure to keep an eye on that post and work with their team to get the Insider issue resolved.

    If I clear local Xbox 360 storage...

    it will clear the 360 profile from the Xbox One. Not the main profile.

    When you next run a 360 game on your Xbox One, your console will download this profile again.

    To let someone else use the content license, you must download your Xbox Live profile to their Xbox 360 console. Then, transfer your content licenses to that Xbox 360 console.

    After you transfer your content, other profiles can use the content on that console.

    Ok, I'm a little unsure what you have or have not done, so I'll describe how I play 360 games on my Xbox One and hopefully this will help you out.

    I load up my Xbox One

    Go to "My Games and App" (there is an icon on the dashboard)

    Click on Xbox 360 Games (There should be a button at the top right labelled "Xbox One Games" click on it and one of the options will be Xbox 360 Games)

    Then click on one of the games that you want to download

    If its a game that you own on a disc, just put the disc into the Xbox One and it will download it onto the Xbox One.

    That's it, now downloading of Xbox 360 profiles (your Xbox One profile is your Xbox 360 profile)
