Xbox 360 profile download problem

Downloading your profile on the xbox 360 is microsoft's problem, but not consistent. One profile might download and another not. I would recommend not following their advice to delete your profile and then downloading it, it is lost. First save the profile
to some external device if you chose to delete the profile. Do not reset the hard drive, reformat. You will have to download or reload all the games and apps. One tech had me remove the hard drive, this did not work. While on the phone 2 1/2 hours and
at the end the tech said microsoft had just sent out a notice regarding this problem which has been going on for about a week. So hopefully they will fix it shortly. I can still log on my xbox one s and play xbox one games, but not the crossover 360 games
because it wants me to download my 360 profile.

Gh3 - Downloaded content?

No,any downloadable content is able to be accessed by any profile on that xbox 360.
exactly the same principal as downloading an arcade game on your profile,and your wife/partner/anybody else being able to play on theirs.

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

apparently if you didn't delete your profile (like support suggested) you CAN sign in now but who had that kind of foresight. the rest of us are still screwed, I even had a backup profile on thumb drive but it got deleted during this hair pulling fiasco

I had this problem for several months and now I solved by going into my old Xbox 360, downloaded the profile there. After this, I was able to download profile when playing Xbox 360 games in my Xbox One.

I am sorry to know about your issue; However, we have multiple detailed troubleshooting steps for this matter on the official Xbox website to help you take care of it. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

Tried what you told me to do in the last comment and no success. Have no problem downloading profile on 360 itself. Once I played a game on the console there was no problem. Wireless and wired. Got back on Xbox one after the success of the 360 and still the same problem as usual. No profile pulls up on the emulator and no connection to the internet once I try to download profile while being online on the Xbox one itself.
