    I've recently tried adding Xbox Live to my old xbox 360 profile. To make a long story short, I ended up deleting my old profile but NOT the items on this profile. I was initially okay with this since I though I could easily transfer items like minecraft game saves, but as it turns out, the xbox 360 will not allow anybody OTHER than the original owner of these saves/information to move these items. Because of this, I have no way to access these items, but they still exist, and because I deleted the original acount, I can't move them to another account. The profile named under these game saves is listed as "unknown profile".

    How can I bypass this xbox restriction? I presume that there is an answer out there seeing as deleting the profile and NOT the items is an actual command you can give to the xbox.

    Hi there,

    something on the profile on the xbox 360 seems to have corrupted. Since all is shown correctly on xbox.com the thing to do is to delete your profile (profile only) on the xbox 360 and redownload it.

    If you only delete the profile, that won't affect any save games etc.

    When deleting a profile on Xbox 360 you are given the option to delete only the profile or also delete the items, if you choose to delete only the profile, this option deletes the Xbox profile, but keeps the achievements and saved games and DLCs.
