    im having the same problem and i also have signed up for the preview update i even tried formatting my xbox which was a stupid idea as all my games are downloaded from the store and now i dont have any games till they fix this xbox needs to sort this problem
    out if anybody finds out how to fix this please post again so i can sort this out

    For me works.

    Try sometimes, some players have luck in first try.

    but its really works.

    for more security clear the cache first and later delete the update.

    reedownload, again and again, until you got.

    I'm also getting these issues. I've tried: clearing cache, re-downloading the system update multiple ways, and unplugging my modem/router and AC adapter. Seems to be in correlation with the Xbox 360 Preview Program. It occurred last night while I was watching
    Netflix, got disconnected randomly while prompt to install the newer system update version. After the installation was complete I was unable to connect to Xbox live "Update Failed, A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently
    unavailable".

    Mine started by saying trying two of three times and it failed and I now it didn't update because I went to the borderlands 2 match browswer and i wasn't on the correct patch and I tried signing in and out and turning on and off to at least get the update
    menu to pop up again and it won't also I don't even know how/where to delete the update plz help also I'm in the preview program on 360

    Hello to all

    I will explain how to fix it.

    1) After you stop the message show all time go to System



    2) Select Storage

    3) Now in Storage window you press LB,RB,LB,RB,X.

    4) A new message for you will show "There a update inside of xbox and will be deleted....... bla bla bla"

    5) Click in Yes the Xbox console will restart and download again the update.

    * Any update trouble repeat the procedure 1 .

    ** In my case works and some time after done the update the error messge could be show but you can force a connection with server, and will connect.
