Xbox 360 power problem?

    I am hoping someone can help me, the other day I was playing on my xbox 360 slim when everything just turned off. The power brick light is solid orange I let it sit for awhile and tried turning it on again but didnt work heres whats happening.

    The power brick is still solid orange, when I press the power button it does make the noise when i press it and the green lights come on both console and power brick for a second and shuts right back off again.

    It is not under warrenty and ive tried the numerous suggestions ive found online with unplugging everything and plugging back in but still the same. What are the chances i just need a new power supply brick?

    Unfortunately, no. My sister is borrowing her boyfriend's xbox 360, but it's the older model, not the slim, so the connection for the power brick is different.

    But yeah, I think I'm going to go ahead and get a replacement brick. As I said, it makes a very audible noise, which it probably shouldnt be making, and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the console itself.
