    Xbox 360 Plug and Play not working on laptop


    I have got an Xbox 360 wireless controller and a plug and play kit with it. I |plug my USB part of the controller into the laptop USB drive. Nothing happens. I have put it in all the USB slots, but nothing works. I sound does play when I plug it in. Please
    guide me with what to do. Thanks

    Hey there xX skunk 73 Xx!

    Sorry to hear about the Play and Charge issue. Just to make sure we have not missed any troubleshooting steps, I recommend trying a few to see if we can get this issue sorted.

    Please give the following steps a try:



    • Remove the battery pack from your controller.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your Console and insert the battery pack into the controller.
    • Power on your console.
    • Try to see if you are able to connect your controller to your console.

    Give the suggested steps a shot and let us know if you are successfully able to connect your controller without any issues.

    plug and play not working properly

    controller disconnected out of the blue,update controller,plug and play wont work + it wont connect to console.plug controller into pc and wait for rumble to stop......lo and behold,plug and play will work and controller will connect to console.WTF is up
    with that???????

    The xbox 360 plug and play cable cannot be used to make a 360 controller a wired device. The plug and play only provides power to the controller it does not transfer data between the controller and the PC/Laptop

    Yes and yes. The game doesn't read it as hardware and I have tried it on another laptop with the same game and it doesn't work, but it works on my mobile devices.

    I have to plug it into my laptop for it to work in-game but it wont work wirelessly which is frustrating coz I bought the controller for wireless play on my laptop but I have to plug it in for it to work on my laptop but I dont have to plug it in for it to work on my laptop and phone.

    It will work if your have a PC/Laptop running Windows 10. It's not going to work on another TV.

    Plug in a controller using the Plug and Play USB wire to the PC/Laptop and you're good.
