    Xbox 360 (original) data transfer cable to new Xbox 360


    Is there a data transfer cable that I can use to transfer data from my ORIGINAL (removable side hard drive) Xbox 360 to a newer model or am I stuck with trying to keep finding old Original Xbox 360s??? If there is one, what is it called and are they still
    available to be bought??? Also what do they look like???

    Two Hardware Questions

    1) I have a VGA cable adapter that I use with my original Xbox 360. If I were to buy the new Xbox 360 Slim, can I still use the same cable?



    2) If I bought the new 360 slim, how would I transfer my data over to the new from the old one?

    May I point out that the Xbox 360 has supported external hard drives up to 2TB of storage since 2015. So, if you can't find a transfer cable, this is also an option. You can also use USB Flash storage. There used to be a limit, but this was removed in 2015.

    1. The Data Transfer Kit will transfer content from Original Xbox 360 to Original Xbox 360, or from Original Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 S. :)

    2. The data is moved, not copied, so the content will not remain on the source drive.

    3. All data will be transferred.

    Lost Email Info attached to RROD'd Gtag - Cannot Recover - Please Help

    Called Xbox support.

    Verdict: since my original gtag 1 was never online i have to use a transfer cable to transfer profiles from my original rrod hdd to the current xbox.

    Problem: the transfer willt be a full data transfer not partial, from my original 60g hdd to my 4g slim. NOT possible.

    Solution: purchase xbox 250g or + HDD, replace 4g hdd with 250, purchase 1x slim to slim hdd transfer cable, transfer current profile from 4g HDD to new 250+HDD. Purchase Xbox360 original hdd to Xbox360 slim hdd transfer cable, Transfer profile from original
    360 hdd to 360 slim with new 250g hdd, merge profiles

    providing I remember the password.

    Ouch.
