Discus and support Xbox 360 original console in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I was thinking of buying a refurbished Xbox original off of GameStop but I've been hearing that soon u won't b able to update and play games on live on...     Xbox 360 original console


    I was thinking of buying a refurbished Xbox original off of GameStop but I've been hearing that soon u won't b able to update and play games on live on these consoles only elite and slim consoles will be able to play and get updates to play live. Is it happening
    this year. I don't wanna buy one and can't play my games on them. I play cods only so any info would be greatly appreciated

    Just to clarify the situation.

    " Due to the age of the original Xbox 360 console, we have discontinued support, repairs, and exchanges as well as the distribution of accessories for the original Xbox console except where required by law. "

    Problem playing my game I just bought

    Play original Xbox games on an Xbox 360 console

    You can play some original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 console if you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

    Notes •If you are not able to play a game on the following list, try updating your console software.

    •Game saves from an original Xbox console cannot be transferred to an Xbox 360 console.

    •Xbox LIVE functionality for original Xbox games has been discontinued. You can, however, play system link between original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles. Learn how to connect consoles for system link play. i hope this helps you out with your problem

    Hello. Although the older FAT consoles are no longer being serviced by Microsoft they will still be able to connect to Live so long as the Slim and E consoles are able to.

    If you wish to purchase an older model from GameStop then go right ahead. However, I would suggest paying the extra amount of money for a newer console in order to take advantage of the warranty that is provided by Xbox.

    If it's an original Xbox 360 brand hard drive it shouldn't be having an issue playing the game. And the disk appears to be fine since it plays on your Xbox 360 S console.

    Do you know anyone with an original Xbox 360 console like yours that would let you try Tony Hawk 3 on just to see if it works for that console? I'm just wondering if the issue is specific to your original Xbox 360 consoles, or multiple original Xbox 360 consoles.
