XBox 360 on Windows 10 Help

Hello.

I just bought this Xbox 360 wired controller for my Windows 10 computer, for some reason it acts like a mouse, which doesn't disrupt gameplay except the X button takes me out of the game I'm playing.

How do you fix it so it only functions like a game controller? ANd how do you fix it so where the x button won't take me out of the game window? Thanks!

XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

Windows 10 does not support the XBOX 360 as it does not have Windows Media Center anymore. Previously, to be able to stream from the 360, that is what you had to use. I followed all directions on the XBOX App in Windows 10 and the XBOX Website to the letter.
The XBOX App does not recognize the 360 at all and there are no instructions anywhere or support regarding using the XBOX 360 to stream on Windows 10. Please help me out.

XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.

Which game are you trying to play? Some games may not have controller support which is causing this issue for you. Normally you would find the option to enable a controller under Keybinding settings in-game.

Are you sure the Xbox 360 is a wired Xbox 360 controller, and not connected by a separate cable like the play and charge cable? If it is the play and charge cable, it will not work on Windows 10, as it only charges the batteries on a PC. If it is a actual
wired controller, then Windows 10 should detect and then download the drivers if needed.

Hello Alan,I believe that it will not be possible to use the Xbox 360 controller on Windows 10 the same is not compatible with Windows 10, there are only drivers for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
