Xbox 360 on old Sanyo tv

I have a old tv that doesnt have a AV port so i use a RF Modulator to solve that. However the words on the tv are very small when playing a game.

the display settings arent useful either.

Just finished a new setup downstairs too with older stuff including a 50" Sanyo, JVC amp, and a second 360 for Windows Media Center streaming and gaming.

Hi there,

Although you can use an older TV set, modern consoles are tailored to modern TVs, while doing their best to offer other screen resolutions/formats. I used to use a 17" PC monitor to play my 360, so can relate to where you're coming from, when it comes to
small text!

A resolution would be to consider purchasing a more up to date display.

^^ spot on. The 360 displays in HD so using an old standard def tv will make any words/subtitles etc. look very small.

I had exactly the same thing when I first got my 360 so can relate as well.

Getting a HD TV is the only way to make the words look the right size.

Hi Brad and thanks for the reply. I did all that and it still didn't work. The console does work on a different tv so I'm reluctant to think it's the tv.

troubleshoot wizard for blank screen. Please be sure to try all of these
