Xbox 360 not working properly

My 360 is taking a long time to load anything. The opening dash board, recent activities...everything. I can get into my destiny game and play that ok. But netflix only partially loads and YouTube doesn't load at all. If I ever hit the xbox button in the
middle of my controller to check a message then everything stops working. If I'm playing destiny, the games doesnt freeze, but nothing loads at all, do I have to turn the xbox off and start over. Anybody got any suggestions?

the solutions they gave were:

a.clean the disk

b.remove any usb flash drives

c.check the disk to be sure it is the right type and region

d.try another disk to see if that will work

none of these helped and after trying 12 of my games and getting the same result I began to realize the disk drive wouldn't explain why its also freezing while loading games from the market which are not on any disk.

 

This could be from numerous things. I would first remove your HDD to rule that out. If your console is still sluggish after the removal of your HDD (you can download your profile onto a USB stick and use that to test), then it could be your HDD. Clear space
on your HDD, and clear you cache as well. Redownloading your profile can help as well. (after deleting it). If nothing else bites, then it could be your internet connection. I would reboot your network hardware, waiting 30 seconds after unplugging to make
sure all power is drained and that a proper reboot can be done.

 

The steps above are all valide but, like many other things HDD are still susceptible to breaking or wearing out! I myself experienced a similiar problem! If those steps above did not work you may have to buy a new hard drive! Yours could have become corrupt!
If this is the case even a reformat will not help, u must buy a new one! I'm sorry your having these problems but maybe our answers have helped you in some way and you can get back to the unmatched experience which is the xbox! Thank you for being a loyal

We received a used xbox 360 S from a friend. We can't seem to sign in or create a new profile to play any games. The system update won't take. Clearing the cache won't work, nor deleting profiles etc. It won't connect to xbox live either (even though
it gets as far as connecting to our wifi). There are some corrupted files (in memory and profile) We can't format either. I'm worried the internal HD is bad. However, ours has the internal memory unit 4GB which can't be removed. If we purchase a new hard
drive, will it even help?
