Xbox 360 not working, please, please advise!!

Hey one and all, hope someone can help me. My xbox360 elite has developed a fault and wont turn on, I have search the net and watched many youtube vids but nothing seems to fit. My power supply is showing a steady orange light, when I try to turn the xbox
on the light on the console lights green and then immediately turns off. The same happens when I try to turn console on with controller. Now to my brain this is telling me that the power supply is fine as it is sending power to the console. I see it that
the console is tripping out or something. Please help i don't wont to buy a new supply if it is my xbox thst has died, and I don't won't to buy a new xbox if all i need i anew power box. Thanks in advance

pretty much. one team got mad at me for defending B flag on nuketown staying behind the truck, did the exact same thing when i was on their team and they did not say a single word about it how ironic.

 

Alright you need to eliminate what could be the probably cause of the issue. If you have a friend with a Older 360 model ask if he can use the power supply on his/her system to see if its actually the power supply itself. If that 360 won't turn on then its
a bad power brick. You can also try their power brick (as long as its the older systems) on your system to see if it will turn on.

If that doesn't work it might be the system itself. Is there anything that appears on the Xbox including any Rings or Red lights of any kind?

 

Originally when the thing died, the 3 of the red rings lit. Thanks for the advise, we dont know anyone with a suitable power pack which was why I might to buy a new one. But concern is still the fact that there is power getting to the xbox but it is turning
off imediately surely if there was a power supply problem there would be nothing getting to the console.

If it shows 3 Red Rings then your System has a General Hardware Failure. System is KIA. You can try to see if Microsoft is able to fix it via Customer Support but if not you have to buy a new system.
