Xbox 360 not reading Originals

Hi! I'm having a problem reading Halo 2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Xbox 360.

I have a Xbox 360 Slim 4GB with 250GB hard drive (bought separately), and both H2 and GTA: SA game disks from the original Xbox. My problem is that when I try to play Halo 2, a message appears indicating Error X:5829.0 B:1884.0, and GTA: San Andreas says
that the game isn't available to be played on an Xbox 360. I know both games can be played, but I don't know if I'm missing something. I downloaded the update for Xbox Originals to work and it's still the same. Both disks are in perfect conditions and were
bought new, and also tried them on a friend's Xbox 360 Slim 4GB with a 20GB HDD, where it worked. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately, if you've gone through all the steps listed in the support area (linked below) for the open tray error then you will either need to send it in for repair or purchase a newer console.

You're definitely correct that both games should work. They're on the
Play Original Xbox Games on an Xbox 360 Console list; and as you pointed out, they worked on your friend's console. Sine the issue is clearly not the games and playing Original Xbox games doesn't have anything to do with your account, the issue almost certainly
lies with your console somewhere.

The next thing you'll want to check is your Hard Drive itself. In order to play original Xbox games you must have an official Microsoft hard drive (because those are the only hard drives that come with the software required to play original Xbox games). Since
you say you bought your hard drive separately, it makes me think that the hard drive is not an official Microsoft hard drive. It's very possible that you were told it was an official Microsoft hard drive when you bought it, but it probably isn't. In order
to play those games, you'll need to purchase an official Microsoft hard drive. I suggest purchasing it directly from Xbox.com so you can be sure you're getting the genuine article.

Sorry, but it was a known issue by xbox and those that were affected already received their replacement consoles. The last xbl update that happened was a few months ago now.

Your issue is more than likely hardware related as opposed to software related. You can either choose to contact support to get a repair done or look into purchasing a new one.

Thing is it worked in my original xbox 360 before Christmas and it should be able to just read the Cd layer of it.

Please read my original post; I don't think DjDoubt03 read my original post either.

I will copy and paste the relevant section from my original post:

"When it is connected and we turn on the Xbox 360, the Xbox logo appears and then it just gets stuck on that screen. If we power off the Xbox 360 and turn it back on, it boots fine. If the Seagate hard drive is disconnected, the Xbox 360 turns on with
no problem, and once we connected the Seagate hard drive afterwards, everything works fine. It's just that first boot that doesn't work with the Xbox 360. It's rather annoying to have to either unplug the hard drive and reconnect it every time we want to
use the Xbox 360 or to have to turn the Xbox 360 on twice every time."

How about read the Title and thread? I am talking about original xbox and not the xbox 360. The original xbox has a Intel based cpu and a nividia gpu which was why there wasn't a mass catalog of original xbox games that was BC on the xbox 360 which uses
Power pc vs the x86 which xbox one and orginal xbox uses
