  1. XBOX 360 not identifying WIRED network. Troubleshooting options?

I have been away from gaming for over a year but I am ready to dive in again. My kids use my Xbox 360 mostly for games that don't require XBL support. I figure the last time I can be sure I was actually on XBL was several months ago. I tried to log on today
as my older son and I are trying out one of the FIFA games but could not make a connection. When I select the wired connection it tells me that I need to make sure my cable is connected etc... I checked all the connections. I actually plugged my laptop into
the exact Ethernet cable that was hooked to my Xbox and was connected to the internet instantly (I disabled the wireless first so I am sure I was getting a signal through the cable). After powering off the Xbox and reconnecting cables, I still get the same
thing. It does not recognize that the cable is plugged in. So my question is of course- is this a hardware fail or is there something else I should try.

    :)

    wifi issues

So recently my xbox one has not been able to connect to my wifi network. It has before in the past and one day up and stopped working. I've called xbox customer support and went through troubleshoot steps with them but so far they have not helped. The wifi network shows up but whenever i try to test the network connection i get an error message that says 'cannot get an IP address'. I tried a wired connection and that works but i am not able to keep it wired all the time. If anyone might have a solution please help!

Xbox360 E Will Connect to Wireless, but Will Not Connect to Wired Network

I have an Xbox 360 E. I've set it up on my wireless network, and everything works fine. I'd like to run it to my wired network. When I plug in a cable, the xbox recognizes the connection and re-starts. However, it won't operate correctly.

When connected to the wired network, the xbox will connect to the network, but fails to connect to the internet. The suggested troubleshooting step says to try re-booting the router, which I've done. When I unplug the network cable and revert back to the
wireless connection, the xbox connects right up to the network and internet without any problem.

Shouldn't the wired connection behave identically to the wireless?

XBOX 360 not identifying WIRED network. Troubleshooting options?

    Hi,

If you tested the cable and get connection on the laptop but not on the console then it sounds like the console issue, you can try to turn off the console and unplug the power cable from the back and then disconnect the PSU from the mains and wait about
10-15 sec. Once the time passed then back again, if the console still cannot see the cable is connected then you need repair.
