Xbox 360 not connecting to live (although it did last night)

OK so basically my xbox 360 isn't connecting to xbox live anymore. Every time i try to get on it says there's been an ip address error. I've scoured the internet looking for a solution and so far none have worked, If anyone can help please reply,

Some Information

• I am connecting my xbox to live through my laptop (yes network sharing and everything is on)
  
• It was working perfectly fine two nights ago but now it just isn't working
• the last solution i tried was bridging the connections but that did nothing
• I was led to believe that it was a problem with my xbox ethernet connection port but it says the cable is connected
  

This has literally been driving me insane so if anyone at all has any ideas please reply below

Live worked yesterday , not today... different codes!!!

unfortunately not ... whenever i try to test xbox live connection , i get various errors MTU , ICMP , IP etc... and it gets various stages along connecting , right up to the point of connecting to xbox live but then states xbox live is not available....although
this has happened and i could get friend notifications of whose online and have partially downloaded my profile but does not allow me to connect as it did last night...

I had some severe problems myself last night with connecting to games in halo. friggin xbox live servers are messed up

 

Hey there, so can you confirm that you used the following steps for the bridge connection:

support.xbox.com/.../win-computer

Also have you tried setting a static IP address for the console as maybe it's conflicting with the laptop or another device on the network. There is no official steps for it, but the following link has a good step by step:

Also sometimes resetting your network settings back to default and letting it reconfigure itself can help, to do so:

Restore Network Defaults

1. Press the Guide Button on your controller, go to Settings.

2. Select System Settings then Network Settings.

3. Select Wired Network or your wireless network when displayed.

4. Select Configure Network then Additional Settings tab.

5. Select Restore to Factory Defaults then confirm when prompted.
