    Hello,

    I've not had any problems with my Xbox 360 until thsi morning. I went to turn it on ano there was no sound and it was displaying in 640x480(it normally detects HD). First I thought it was the TV breaking but everything else is fine. I've tried reseting Xbox
    no luck, I have to change the setting manually for HD but still no sound.

    can anybody help?

    i have had my xbox 360 connected to an old tv and when i connected it to a new tv it doesnt show any picture or no sounds i wish to play in Hd help?

    Hi, if you go to settings/ console settings/ display.

    Is display discovery enabled or disabled? Try changing that option to see if it helps any please.

    You will need the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable from MS as for the sound I don't no but I'm sure someone will and can help you more

    If you want better video and audio there are also HDMI adapters for the older 360s.

    It may also be worth going into the console audio settings and trying various output modes.

    -

    There is also of course the possibility that the audio leads on the VGA cable are faulty.
