    Xbox 360 No signal

So the other day I went to turn on my Xbox 360 and I waited for the Xbox to load up but on the screen it just said 'No signal' I've tried a lot of things to fix it but I just can't seem to get the picture to come on. I then thought I would try the AV cable
and the Xbox picture came on fine but the quality is really bad.

    I've tried

    1) Changing TV's, I used 3 different TV's and all did the same

    2) Changing HDMI wires, I used 3 different wires.

    3) I tried doing the trick where you hold RB and Y but nothing happened.

I don't know what to try any more If anyone could help me out then I would appreciate it, Thanks.

    :)

    Hey!

I tried the steps you gave me and I had no luck on most of them because I am playing on AV and I am unable to select the HDMI settings to be able to get to the options.

    This is what it shows

  6. Hey Lazy Boy1014!

I'm sorry to hear that this issue has continued to occur. Just to clarify, have you have tried different HDMI cables for each TV? Have you tried using a different HDMI port on the original TV that your console was connected to? It is possible that the issue
may be with the HDMI port on your Xbox 360 but I don't want to rule out any other variable first.

    Hey!

I tried using different HD cables on each TV and the error still occurs, I also tried different HDMI ports on the back and it still came up with no signal but what I did realise is that when the HD cable is not plugged in the screen says 'Check signal cable'
and when I plug it back in it says 'No signal' so it must be recognizing that it's getting plugged in but the screen does not show up.

    Hey Lazy Boy1014!

It sounds to me that the issue lies with the HDMI port, especially if your AV cable displays a picture and you have tried 3 different HDMI cables and 3 TV's. To try to improve the picture quality of while using the AV cable, you can reset the display settings.

Give these steps a try to reset display settings:

    • Make sure there's no disc in the disc tray.
    • Power off your console.
    • Power on your console.
    • If you are using wireless controllers, make sure that only one controller is connected.
    • As the console starts, press and hold the Y button on your controller while pulling the right trigger.
    • If you currently have an Xbox 360 E or Xbox 360 S console, you can reset the display settings by powering off your console and holding the power button for 10 seconds.

As far as the HDMI port issue, I would definitely look into getting your console repaired. To get your console repaired, check our How to get your console repaired page.
