Xbox 360 No green power ring, Controllers wont connect.

Turn my xbox 360 on, runs fine, loads the game fine, but there's no green ring on the power button. Its colorless and I cant connect any controllers, wired and wireless. Any clue on what could be causing it, and how to fix it?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that it can be frustrating when the controllers are not able to be connected to the console. We recommend power cycling the Xbox 360 by pressing the power button on the console. Also, unplug the
video cable from the console. Once the console has been turned off, you will need to unplug the power supply from the power outlet and console and wait 30 seconds. We suggest plugging the console directly into the wall instead of a surge protector. Does the
power button light appear after power cycling the console like this? Are the controllers able to connect to the console after these troubleshooting steps? Be sure to let us know the results!

Thanks mate, this in fact seems tobe the problem. Probably gonna have to self repair the dang thing. Thanks for the answer!

HI, I have seen this happen before and it's more often than not that the RF module which controls the controller inputs inside the Xbox has failed and needs to be replaced. You'd need to contact Xbox support about that which may be an issue as they don't
repair some models any longer.

Then you're left with self repair which isn't a subject that is allowed to be discussed here, of course you do have a world of information at your fingertips.

Does the Xbox appear to power on? Do you see green lights on the Ring of Light and a green light on the power supply?
