    Basically, can I use my newer black hard drive for the newer 360 model on an old white 360 pro? Can I get the hard drive transfer cable and just use it as an external?

    I have an xbox 360 elite hard drive and the xbox pro console i use had gone into RROD

    i have a new xbox 360 slim arriving next week how do i get a data migration cable considering i cant use the console (old) to move game saves on to a usb pen and cant plug old hard drive into new console

    Using the newer HD on the older xbox 360, would require modding which is not allowed by MS so therefore cannot be talked about on this forum.

    @ManumTOKYO If you have the older 360 they do make a bigger hdd to replace the one you have and same goes with the newer hdd. This would be for the newer 360 models

    This is a key so you should listen to this. If I were you I would only by MS brand name hdd because my friends made the mistake of buying a genetic hdd and it did not work but its up to you and the sites you buy it from.

    Hard Drive Help!

    When you say you bought a new one, was it a hard drive similar to your old one, or one of the newer model hard drives. If it was one of the newer model hard drives, then that is why it wont work. The older model xbox 360's won't recognise them.

    Oh I should probably note that they are both older model xbox's not newer model xbox's, both with older hard drives, mine is a 120gig hard drive with an arcade body and her's is a 60 gig with a pro model(the silver disc drive)

    I got an old Xbox 360 60gb pro console. and im stuffed. They no longer make hard drives for my model. So I have to use flash drives. So you can either use flash drives for more space, or you could go get a 250 or 320 gb official microsoft hard drive.
