Unfortunately, at the time Xbox Live status was having problems as well, so I could not use that website.

The next day I had to unplug router and Xbox 360 system for 10 minutes. It turns out my router was the problem even though is was saying everything was fine. I had to delete first and re add Xbox device in order to work. I also think there was another
issue with security on router that I took care of, but all is good now. Thanks for your help anyway.
