Xbox 360 NAT Error

  1. Xbox 360 NAT Error


    I have a Tenda W331+ router connected to a Cisco modem. I have followed the instructions to forward ports as per this guide:

    and the NAT error stopped for a while but today I'm getting it again. I tried switching off the router and modem for 30 seconds and restarting the Xbox but I'm still getting the error message. When I ask for a status, here is the info that is displayed:

    W: 0000-000B

    X: 0600 - F001

    Y: 20A8 - 4860

    Z: 9--7 - 045D

    ID: FFFF - FFFF

    L: 0015 - 10F0

    Q: 8007 - 0435

    T: Wired

    A: 192.168.137.36/255.255.255.0

    G: 192.168.137.1

    D: 192.168.137.1/0.0.0.0

    Please advice me on what to do regarding this issue?

    Your network is behind port restricted NAT

    Does your NAT actually say STRICT or MODERATE when you run network test or are you going by the advanced test where it'll say open but also give an error code for port restricted NAT. If its the later, you'll get that error code when you hook to a router because the router is handling your NAT and x1 sees it as a filter, even though its not really filtering your necessary ports for Xbox live. If its the former, yea, you need to see Xbox forums as xstasis recommends.

    Xbox 360 NAT Error

    Hello DejaVu,

    Sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Instead of turning off your modem and router for 30 seconds try 5-10 minutes. 10 minutes is highly recommended. I would also suggest clearing your cache files in your hard drive. I will give you some steps
    on how to do this.

    To clear your cache read the following instructions.

    Step 1: Go to your Xbox 360 Dashboard.

    Step 2: Press the middle button on the controller and go over to
    Settings.


    Step 3: Find and click on System Settings and then click on
    Storage.


    Step 4: Highlight over Hard Drive. (Note if you have multiple devices I would suggest doing this to all of them. Remember that
    Cloud Saved Games is also an external device from a 3rd party source so you cannot clear the cache on this device.)


    Step 5: Please hit
    Y and find where it says Clear System Cache.


    Step 6: Click Clear System Cache and select Yes.

    Your system will start performing maintenance on your storage device. Hopefully this helps. If this does not I would suggest contacting your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or you can also contact customer support at xbox.com.support. Really hope everything
