XBox 360 Movie Rental Shows Expired Immediately After Downloading

Hi.

I rented Geostorm, and opted to download instead of stream it. When the download finished and I went to the system player to watch it, it immediately shows as "Expired" in my list. There was no option to play. No error codes showed up anywhere.

Extra info that might be needed:

I purchased the rental roughly an hour ago now, and tried to play it immediately after downloading, so about 20 minutes ago.

I'm in the US, my account was made in the US, and is still set to US.

The only troubleshooting I've tried was going into my purchase history and refreshing it, but nothing changed.

I did attempt to use the "contact us" option on the xbox support page, but none of the options pertained to my issue at all, and so I wasn't able to do anything. So, I'm here, asking for help.

All I wanted to do watch spend $3.99 + tax to watch a terrible movie.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you go back to the Xbox Support Contact us page and choose one of the options from the subscriptions & billing menu ( try I don’t
recognise a charge) and that should get you to an advisor.

I had the same issue tonite buying a movie for my kids, 420 points were taken but the movie showed as expired in my movie list immediately after renting...can i get my points back please!?.

I also just rented a few movies for download on my Xbox 360 and even downloaded them on a USB, but as soon as the first one finished downloading, it immediately said it was already expired and is only giving me the options to rent or delete. I also went
to Account Management and Refreshed and its still not working.

I refuse to pay for these movies again and actually feel like I just wasted my own money and time...

If their game rental plans include instant streaming to the Xbox for tv and movies, I will immediately cancel my Gamefly account - - depending on what their prices are like.
