    XBOX 360 Modern Warfare 2 Online Connection Issue


    For the past several days, a failure occurs while trying to connect to a game on Xbox Live. The game loads, searches for active online games, and connects to one. Then as the status bar reaches all the way across the bottom of the screen and seems to connect,
    in the upper right it says waiting for other players and the machine locks up. Controller has no effect and the console has to be shut down manually.

    Other games connect fine to Xbox Live, and I have tested the network connections as well.

    Is this a server issue for this game?

    Are you playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops? With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 an issue could be you are trying to play split screen online multiplayer over Xbox Live. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does not support split
    screen online multiplayer. On the other hand if you are playing Call of Duty: Black Ops split screen online multiplayer is support however both accounts must be gold subscriptions (unless the 2nd user is signed in as a guest). If this problem proceeds please

    Modern Warfare connection issue

    Hi,

    When choosing the "find match" all I get is a screen with all options "grey" i.e I cannot access any of the options. It appears that everything is frozen on this page as the players and game information is the same every time.

    Any ideas?? Anyone??

    I would appreciate your help in this matter

    2 Xbox one's on the same network can't connect to Xbox live servers at the same time.

    There are Two Xbox ones on my network and only one can access Xbox live servers for Modern Warfare at once. One will get on just fine then the other one will keep failing to connect to Xbox live servers until the other console gets off. What can
    be done for this?
    Do you 2 copies of Modern Warfare and a separate gold account for each console?

    We have two Xbox's and we play fine online and with Modern Warfare.

    Modern warfare 2 won't do online multiplayer

    Checking online, it seems that many others have had the same issue in the past weeks. It is more likely than not server issues on the game side rather than the system side.

    Edit: I've failed to see that those issues were with the new Modern Warfare rather than Modern Warfare 2.
