Xbox 360 Minecraft to Xbox One

So on my xbox 360 i have Minecraft digitally downloaded. I just bought the minecraft bundle xbox one s and i entered the code for the full game and it says i already have it. I downloaded it but the file size was 313 MG. For minecraft i feel that isn’t
the full size. Did i somehow get it from my xbox 360 or is this a demo?? I’m very confused. To be honest this is why i prefer disc form of games vs digital.

my son has been playing minecraft, saint row, far cry 4 etc in Xbox 360. is it possible to transfer the games to xbox one? minecraft is an online purchase. rest all the discs we bought from Game.

he doesnt want to upgrade to xbox one but ofcourse we are missing out the new features of xbox one and xbox 360 is getting out dated fast and would value for nothing soon.. ihave few consoles left like that and lying in the garage.. (ps2, xbox, psp etc)..

any advice on transferring the games would be helpful for me to decide on xbox one..

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Don't worry game wise disc or digital both should work correctly on your Xbox One. I'm aware Minecraft approximate size is 240.62MB (which is pretty close to the amount of MB downloaded on the Xbox) You can find

If you would like to confirm that the game is owned on your account go to your

Owned Game List.

I noticed the bundle also comes with a code for an add-on. Is it possible that's the code that was redeemed and not the code for the game?

 

It was the full game code. That was the first one i made sure to redeem first.

It says that i own the game. I used to have it disk form. Maybe since i have it digitally for the 360 i got it for the one?? I’ve earned achievements. Just can’t find the tutorial world.

Are you experiencing an issue with installing the Minecraft on your Xbox One S console?

These would be two different versions, as the 360 version would not be compatible on the Xbox One.

Only issue i am facing at the moment is i tried uploading a save from the 360 to the One and it didn’t upload. I have old saves that i don’t know how to delete. I just want to upload the tutorial world i put work into.

 

If you have the updated version of the One game, it is no longer possible to transfer 360 saves into the game.

Buying digital games on Xbox One FAQ since it does clear up a lot of confusion on this particular matter. The thing is the game isn't owned by the console meaning its owned by the account. Once a new device (Xbox One, One S, One X ect) is bought, the only
thing that needs to be done to recover all the data (owned games and progress and such) is to re-download the Microsoft account that the games were purchased on. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other matter!

 

is there a tutorial world for xbox one??? Also does xbox live gold from xbox one go back to the 360 so i can get dantes inferno?? It won’t let me on xbox one. I’m such a noob my apologies.

Mojang Forums as this issue (Tutorial World) has been addressed. Now, the Xbox Live Gold membership, like the digital games, is owned by the account. As long as the account has Xbox Live Gold it doesn't matter where it is signed into (Xbox One Xbox 360). Go
