Xbox 360 met microsoft points

It seems that it is impossible to buy xbox 360 games on the microsoft store with money in my account from giftcards. Can it be helped? If it isn't possible, could I get a refund because I haven't spend any of it.

Unfortunately the way the 360 store is setup you can only use your credits for 360 titles actually on the 360 console itself.

You would need to migrate your account region. http://live.xbox.com/accountmigration It sounds like the 360 thinks your account is set for a different region than what
it is.

The only way to purchase 360 content with your Microsoft account balance is through the console itself. Until the One/website are updated to work with currency as a valid payment option for 360 content, there is no way around that. Once the funds
are added to your account, there is no way to have them refunded.

I have tried that, but it my doesnt transfer my balance over to the xbox 360, even though its the same account. Ive tried to redeem my code on the 360, but it says its the wrong region, but my region is correct. Ive redeemed it on the website and that did work,
but I cant purchase anything on my 360. It also gives me the wrong currency. It says pounds but my account is european. Can this be solved?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I'm afraid that you would need to make your purchases from an Xbox 360 to use the points.
