    XBOX 360 Manual Update Help


    After having downloaded the most recent update to my laptop, can I download it directly to my xbox without a usb flash drive or cd? Am i able to update my xbox by directly connecting it to my laptop?

    Background: Xbox 360 was out of use for so long it now will not update itself automatically once connected to the internet. Forced to manually update. No flash drive or blank disks available, but have already downloaded update to laptop.

    Need help conecting.

    Thanks for trying that Fyre. That error code still suggests a manual installation. Can you try the USB method, following the instructions here (support.xbox.com/.../system-update-help),
    and let us know if that helps. Thanks!
