Xbox 360 & Logitech K400 k/b with touchpad -- and using k/b + pointing devise with Xbox as ...

I have the k/b mentioned above. The keys work great in the xbox, but there is absolutely no response from its touchpad. My soul purpose for a k/b - mouse combo is to use as a tv 'remote'. Using the Microsoft controller provided specifically, in sites like
Amazon Prime, I can navigate to the show I want to view, but, using the <A> key on the controller cannot activate that last link that actually PLAYS the show. It is completely dead. The K400 works great in all respects when attached to a LAPTOP, then to a
tv. I have a Kinect, which works GREAT. As for now, the Kinect is the only thing we use the Xbox for -- I'm not a gamer, I'm a tubbo using the Kinect exercises trying to become a former tubbo. But if I could find a pointer that works, I would also use the
k/b mouse combo as a tv remote with the Xbox plugged directly into the tv.

Solution? suggestions? disappointments?

Programming media remotes.

Hello. If you can control your soundbar's volume using your TV remote, then use the TV code for your TV on the Xbox 360 remote and see if it works. I have linked to the appropriate pages for the NEWER remote.



B&W (Bowers and Wilkins) are NOT a listed manufacturer under the codes section. If you spent $2,000+ on a B&W Panorama Soundbar, it might be a better idea to spend a couple hundred on a better Universal Remote such as the Harmony Line from Logitech that
has a wide list of supported brands and learning functionality.

Based on the information I found about your specific soundbar it has the capability to be controlled by your TV's remote control assuming your TV supports those features. If you have the capability to use your TV remote to control the volume of your soundbar,
then it's possible that the TV code for your TV can be used for this soundbar via the Xbox 360 media remote.



Even if there was a Bowers and Wilkins code for this remote, you would lose the ability to control your TV as you can only program 1 device at a time for this remote.

 

New Xbox 360 Bluetooth Wireless Headset and Media Remote revealed

Microsoft announced two new Xbox 360 hardware accessories on 26/07/2011.

The software giant revealed a new Xbox 360 Wireless headset with Bluetooth. The device allows game players to use the headset with mobile phones and PCs as well as the Xbox 360 console. The headset will connect to the Xbox 360 through the console’s
standard radio frequencies according to Microsoft’s Major Nelson. The
headset will be available worldwide in early November priced at $59.99.





Microsoft’s second accessory is a new Xbox 360 Media Remote. The new remote features play/pause, skip forward, fast forward, skip back, fast back, and display to control DVD, CD, or streamed media. The remote will also allow game players to control
their TV sets using the power on/off button, volume up/down, mute button and TV input. The remote also features the standard A, B, X, Y buttons and d-pad navigation. Microsoft has also provided select and back buttons and a new Live TV button for its upcoming
Live TV service, available later this year. The remote will be available worldwide for $19.99 in early November.
