Xbox 360 live redeeming code option isnt allowing me to use it.

I paid for a card that had a 25 character list on my redeeming code and i inserted it on my xbox account using my pc, then i moved onto my xbox to pay for my first ever xbox live gold membership for one month but when the payment options menu showed up,
my 25 euros redeeming code cash option was highlighted in gray and i clicked on it and it didnt allow me to select that option so....i got the money on my xbox account but i cant use it...

any help?

How to Redeem a Code on Xbox One - QR Code or 25 Character Code

Hey guys! Okay, so you need to figure out how to redeem codes on the Xbox One? Well, there are a few ways of doing this.

1.

• Login to Xbox.com (top right hand side)
• In the top bar, mouse over Xbox Live Gold
• You'll see 'Redeem Code' in the drop down list
• Click 'Redeem' and enter your 25 digit code!

If your code is a game or DLC, it will automatically start downloading once you login to your Xbox, unless you have your Xbox in standby, which will allow it to download right away!

• From the main page of the Xbox One dashboard, scroll to the right to the 'Games' section and select that section -or- If your Kinect is connected, say "Xbox, Use a Code"
• If you have a QR code (that square looking code thing), you can hold it up to your Kinect to redeem it.
• If you have a 25 digit code, in the lower left of the screen, you have the option to "enter the 25-character code." Click that and enter your code. Confirm your code and you're all set!

Your item will automatically download. Enjoy!

Gold can only be purchased with a credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card in a store. The money in your account cannot be used to purchase a gold subscription. It can only be used to purchase games or other content.

 

You can't use the money in your account, that money can only be used for Avatar, apps, addons, music and videos.

For gold subscription you need to pay through either paypal (if you're in US or UK) else credit card (World wide). you can also buy one of those pre paid cards from a local store.

The site answered me that code is o.k. Can u list some of retributive sites? Yes I registered my device and account at UK but actually my location is Latvia - not UK. The code is listed that Europe&UK regions. I already asked for refund they rejected.

Eu codes are country specific especially since UK has their own currency
