XBOX 360 LIVE Gold Family only able to convert my account

Used to have a XBOX live gold family account and my account has been converted but I can't figure out how to get my kids converted. They are listed as silver accounts. Am I missing the guidance on how to do this or is their really not much info?

Microsoft just ended the Family Plan for good

Microsoft sent this announcement via e-mail to all Family Plan members. This is terrible for people who have more than one console. Also note (in bold) that this answers the questions about the Gold Live sharing on multiple consoles. So if you plan to throw out your 360's and game library and have you family glued to one Xbox One then you are good. Once you go that friends house your family cannot play in Live on either console unless you have an additional sub. Terrible.

As a valued Xbox Live Gold member, we'd like to thank you and your family for being part of the Gold community.

We continually evaluate our offerings and are always working to provide services that best meet the needs of our customers.
Starting August 27, 2013, we will be converting each activated account on your Gold Family Pack to an individual Xbox Live Gold membership to prepare for new upcoming features on Xbox Live Gold. Rest assured, each individual membership will work on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Through the new Home Gold feature on Xbox One, a single Xbox Live Gold membership will allow anyone in your home to enjoy many Gold features like multiplayer, access to Gold entertainment apps, and more on your Xbox One.*
As a bonus, we will give each converted individual Xbox Live Gold membership from your Gold Family Pack an extra 3 months of Gold (in addition to the time remaining on your membership term).**
Before your memberships convert, you can still add family members to your Xbox Live Gold Family Pack, for a total of up to four accounts. However, any unassigned secondary accounts will no longer be accessible after your conversion. Please be sure to update your secondary accounts here.
After your memberships convert, the only Gold Family Pack features that will no longer be available are activity monitoring reports and Microsoft Points allowances. Activity monitoring reports will deactivate at the time of Gold Family Pack conversion, whereas the Microsoft Points allowance feature will no longer be available after the next Xbox 360 system update. Xbox Live family settings, including parental controls for what your kids can access and play on or offline, will still be available.

Xbox Family Gold

Hello

You can easily convert an existing Xbox LIVE Gold membership, or you can sign up for a new Xbox LIVE account and Gold Family Pack membership.

How do I convert an existing Xbox LIVE Gold Membership?

When you switch your membership to a Gold Family Pack membership, all content, Microsoft Points, scores, and achievements associated with your gamertag are preserved. Here's how to do it.

Notes

To sign up for a Gold Family Pack membership, you must be of adult age in your country (18 or older in the United States). The legal adult age varies by country and region.

If you’re on the Xbox 360 Entertainment For All Plan, you’re not eligible for a Family Pack for the life of the Plan.

Sign in to the Xbox LIVE account that you want to be the primary account holder for your Gold Family membership.

Go to Settings, and then select Account.

Scroll right and select Gold Family.

Follow the on-screen instructions. You will get a discount on your Gold Family Pack membership based on how many months remain on your existing Gold Membership.

After you join a Gold Family Pack membership, add Gold Family Pack members.

Go to My Account.

Under Membership & Content, click Get More Gold.

Note If you are not signed in, you will be prompted for your Microsoft account (formerly "Windows Live ID"). Type the Microsoft account information for the Xbox LIVE account that you want to be the primary account holder for your Gold Family
membership (an adult account).

Select Gold Family (where available), and then click Next.

Follow the on-screen instructions to convert your membership to a Gold Family Pack membership.

The system should have automatically converted them to individual accounts. They would each need their own subscription if they want to play on Live.

What if my Gold Family Pack is supposed to auto-renew between now and when my account is converted?

If you’re set to auto-renew before your membership is converted, you’ll still auto-renew into an Xbox Live Gold Family Pack, and your Gold Family Pack accounts will convert to individual Gold memberships at a later date.

Are you using the Xbox ONE or Xbox 360? If you have an Xbox 360 your family would have to have their own separate Xbox LIVE Gold accounts. Microsoft did away with the family plan for Xbox 360 and existing users were converted to individual accounts. If
you have an Xbox ONE you can sign-up for the Home Gold subscription, which allows any profile on your console to have access to any of the LIVE Gold features included in your subscription.

1. As of right now yes, you'd have to pay for all 4 on the 360.

2. Everything should stay the same, the only thing that will change is the fact that they won't be able to play online and won't be able to access things like Netflix.

5. Well, I'm not positive on this but I heard you only need one account on the Xbox One and then all the other accounts could access xbox Live.

6. Well on the xbox one there are these family settings, I'm not entirely sure how it works but I think as long as the adult account in the family has gold, all the sub accounts will have gold. So basically if you add all of your kids' accounts to the family
and have your account as the parent account and you renew gold on it they should all have gold.

Not all of that may be entirely accurate ^^
