    I have an xbox 360, 6-7 years old havent used it for about 4 years, recently got it out, and managed to update it. As a result the live account on this xbox that I was able to sign into pre update can longer be logged in. I made this account using a Rocketmail
    and as a result Microsoft doesnt recoginse it as an account. I cant log in to this account, I cant reset the password and I cant change the linking email? I have games in this account I want to keep, is there anyway for me to login to this xbox live account
    and fix this issue?

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid that it sounds like you currently have two accounts, one offline on the xbox 360 and one Xbox Live account on the Xbox One.

    There is an option to promote your offline xbox 360 account to an Xbox Live Account, but this will require a new Microsoft Account (email address), but the next issue would be that it is Not possible to merge multiple accounts into one Xbox Live Account.

    So basically there are two options, continue with the current Xbox Live Account that you have on the Xbox One, or to promote the 360 account to an Xbox Live Account and download that to the Xbox One and continue with that one.

    Are you trying to add an existing Xbox Live account to your Xbox 360?

    If you are attempting to add an existing Xbox Live account to an Xbox 360, Create or go to the profile you would like the existing Xbox Live account to be accessible on, go to Xbox Live and download the existing account to the profile.

    Xbox Live gold sharing is not a feature on Xbox 360. So if you want Xbox Live gold on both accounts on your xbox 360 console you would need to purchase a subscription for both accounts.

    There is no such thing as an Xbox 360 account. All Live accounts work on all live supported systems, 360, Xbox One and PC. You need to use the same account you use for your Xbox One with BC games.

    Please ensure you have Xbox Live Gold on the account you are trying to use on your Xbox 360, Live Gold is not shared between account on the Xbox 360, unless it is a parent and child account.
