    Rumor: Microsoft showing XB1 mini, 2 streaming devices at E3 2016

    The Original Xbox came out in 2001 and was replaced with the Xbox 360 in 2005 - 4 year console life

    The Xbox 360 came out in 2005 and was replaced in 2013 - 8 year console life, which many said was far too long.

    By the time this "scropio" were to come out, it would have been 4 years since the Xbox One launched, and with these consoles being under-powered from the start, it sort of makes sense to release a new one 4 years in, that has VR Support, 4k resolution support(it non gaming situations) and some revised hardware.

    Not saying that is what they are doing, but considering Phil Spencer said their would be no Xbox 1.5, it could simply be the next Xbox.

    Hi, the XBOX 360 is also End of Life and no longer receives support. The apps have already been removed and it's a matter of time before the console is also removed from XBOX Live. XBOX 360 XBOX Live will continue to run due to THE BC.

    Works fine for me.

    MS won't support the 360 controller on the Xbox One. The wireless protocols are different.

    Enjoy your 7 hr battery life and dearth of titles.

    Years back Microsoft said the Xbox 360 will have a 10 year life cycle. Assuming they stick to that, November 2015 is when we'll see support generally cease.

    They said the 360 had a 10 year life cycle, so I'd imagine when ms stop making the 360 Devs will stop supporting it.
