Xbox 360 Left Joystick error?

I have two Xbox controllers that have the same error. I’m pretty sure that it isn’t the controllers that are the cause though, since I’ve cleaned the joystick and get the same result. When I go to play Minecraft (It doesn’t do the glitch on Borderlands
so I’m not sure if it’s the game or the Xbox itself) I sign in with my account and the left joystick stops working. The only way I know how to fix it is to swap accounts in-game and it solves the issue, but it results in me not being allowed to use my account.
I can’t play singleplayer because of the error and I really need to figure this out. The glitch happens for every account that is selected first and when switched it stops and the joystick is completely functional. I’ve owned this Xbox for over 2 years and
it’s only started acting up recently. I really hope it’s an easy fix as I’m not in a place financially to pay for repairs or to buy a new one/upgrade entirely.

that's a strange situation and it's more strange because it only happens in your account, try to remove your account and download it again, it's the only thing that happens, that or try those controls in another xbox

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. In addition to what was already recommended, you can try

looking through your storage for any corrupted content.

Corrupted files in your storage are easily distinguishable. Look through your storage for any files that have an icon next to it of a yellow exclamation mark.

Corrupted files could have unforeseen effects on your account. Since this issue seems to be unique to your account, I think it would be a good idea to check for any.

Hmm, don't have my X1 yet, but y'all are worrying me with this controller talk. I kill joysticks on 360 controllers every 6 months. My current 360 controller, the left stick sticks to the left.

Hello, my xbox 360 controller's right joystick isn't working properly. When I turn left it is fine but when I turn right it slows down. Sometimes it does a superslow right turn. So when im playing I sometimes constantly have to turn left to get to places.
What's wrong with it?
