XBOX 360 KINECT "Fable, The Journey" not installing

New purchase (correctly sealed etc.) xbox360 (Kinect) game "Fable the journey" repeatedly fails to install.

xbox can read the disk initially, but can't install it - always fails after 2-10%. For the same reason, we are unable to play the game from the disk itself, the game keeps stopping.

- disk has no scratches, and is clean

- have run a cleaner in the disk drive; also have tested it by playing a film, and it works fine.

- updates are current.

- All other games functioning.

any suggestions?

e.g. is it possible to have a code to download the game instead?

Sometimes the game doesn't look scratched at all but is, or it's corrupted somehow, You should try to exchange it.

no, unfortunately it keeps stopping when we try to play it directly off the disk

Hello,

I would go immediately to the retailer where you bought the game and state it is defective. This things may happen unfortunately.

Things left to try:
Clear Xbox 360 caches, Try using another memory unit/hdd/USB3.0. Try the disc in another Xbox 360.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you're trying to install the game on Xbox 360? It is designed to run just off the disc itself. Will it work just running off the disc?
