Xbox 360 keeps powering off

Hello all,

My Xbox 360 Slim console keeps powering off after 1-2 minutes of use, and every time it does, the resolution keeps resetting to 480p. I'm using a 1080p tv, so that's not the issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I use to have this issue too with my Xbox 360 Slim. Is the brick of the power supply turning red? My brick would light up red and I dusted it out with an air can, and it went back to normal.

Lol all I've ever heard from an ambassador is "keep the power button pressed for 10 seconds"(Xbone) or "Disconnect the power cord from the Xbox 360 and keep it off for a minute".

Hi,

Hardreset your console, to do this.

1. Hold down on the power button for 10 seconds

2. Once off, unplug the power cable

3. Keep off for 1 to 2 minutes

4. Replug the power cable, turn on the xbox one/360

5. See if this solved your problem

As stated by another it could very well be the power supply. Also check your power saving setting as mine was acting up and i turned it off. But each user has different issues that all are the same and some solution dont always work.
