    I have used xbox live before for a month last year, our internet hasn't changed but for some reason it won't connect to xbox live any more.

    It comes up with a notification saying I need to download an update in order to play xbox live But I'm unable to download it

    I cant connect to xbox love but have internet connection...

    Hey guys, so im having trouble connecting to xbox live even though my internet is working fine on all my other devices. when i do a " Test xbox live connection" test it fails on xbox live, it connects to network and internet just fine. I havent changed anything
    and it has worked fine for the last 6 years? any help would be much appreciated

    Had this issue myself with our four year old console. Tried everything to fix the issue. The only thing that worked was to connect the console via ethernet cable.

    Xbox 360 Slip 4 GB S Update Failure - Can't Connect to Xbox Live

    And yes, this Xbox 360 was working perfectly for months until the 12/04/14 update. Hasn't been able to update since or connect to Xbox Live. Does everything else, like connect to the internet.

    We are having the same problem. Our xbox runs on a wired connection and for about 1-2 weeks our xbox live hasn't been connecting. Also whenever we turn on our xbox our whole internet goes down. I've looked at my internet settings and some things don't even
    match but when I change them to match, it doesn't even connect to the network. My brother and I have been wondering if XBL has been down because we have made it connect to the internet but haven't been able to connect to XBL. Any suggestions would be greatly

    The no gamer pic and 0 gamerscore on my friends list just happened even though it was fine this morning. Everyone is a silver it says as well. Not sure what the problem is, seeing as I just turned it on and this happened. My 360 hasn't been freezing either,
    but it did take a tiny bit longer to connect to Live randomly and nothing has been changed.

    What it sounds like is that your laptop isn't sharing the internet connection with the router. Try to setup
    internet connection sharing and
    see if that helps.
