Xbox 360 internal memory wont erase anything.

i have cleared cache. I even tried to install the update onto a usb. Still get same error code

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately there is no way to get the game saves back if they were erased. Nor can I say that this would be a one shot deal.

What I would recommend is either contacting phone support to see if the console needs a repair or go out and purchase an official Xbox hard drive from your local gaming store. That should prevent the issue from happening again.

oh unlike teh 360 arcade it doesnt have a hardrive + an internal juts hardrive memory so take out teh 250 gig and dont replace it with a similar hardrive it wont have any memory

Don't Erase anything.. Just buy a SanDisk 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive & it will be Xbox Configured for 14.3GB of free space for Save Data..

When the memory units fail in those Xbox 360 consoles, you can't delete or install anything and you'll often get prompted to install a system update which won't install either.

If you can try and exchange the 360 with gamestop that would be best and get a 360 without a memory unit. The systems without a memory unit will require an internal hard drive.
