Xbox 360 has stpped signing me in to Xbox Live

When I try to sign in, I just get a "Signing In" message and the spinning circle.

The only way I've found to get out of this state is to turn off the console at the mains.

I have used the network diagnostic tool and the console connects to X box live in diagnostic mode. Thereafter, the downloadable imagery and content on the opening control panel all work. But it won't sign me in, with the profile I'm using now.

The console had allowed me to play a game or two of HALO4. I turned it off at the mains, came back 10 hours later and had this problem.

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?


WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

 

Hello, is it throwing up any kind of error code when trying to sign-in or you just get the spinning circle?

If you haven't already, try deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile.

Delete and re-download profile:
support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

Clear system cache:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
