Xbox 360 Has Been "tampered with"

I bought a digital version of Grand Theft Auto V yesterday for my xbox 360, due to the fact that the disk copy that I had became unreadable. Yesterday, (right before I bought it) xbox live had worked fine, but as soon as I tried to load the game up, I was
signed out of xbox live. Today, When I try to log on to xbox live it gives me multiple errors (most of the time stating that my xbox has been tampered with). It also will not system update no matter what I try. I have never done anything to my xbox besides
use it as intended. I dont know if there is any way to fix this, or maybe just a refund on the game, (I bought GTA for online mode because I have already completed story mode, thats why I would need xbox live) Any help is appreciated.

I would contact someone over the phone and see what they can do for you. Im already a little confused cause you said you finished the story mode and brought GTA for online mode. Once you buy GTA is has both story and online included! I would definitely
call in and speak with a live support representative.

skip the notification

scroll to the bottom of the options and select Chat Online or Request a Call

if u have tampered with your xbox 360 microsoft will not touch the console due to the fact it has been tampered with so the only thing u can do is take it to a xbox 360 repair shop.

The only way to avoid a ban would be to buy a new 360 that has not been tampered with.
