XBOX 360 hard drive

Ok, I went to go play Forza Horizon 2 on my XBOX 360 and when I clicked on the hard drive It took me back to the XBOX 360 dashboard and I cant figure out how to fix it.

What specific Xbox 360 console do you own? Do you have an official Xbox 360 hard drive attached? In order to play Original Xbox games on Xbox 360, you need a console with an official Xbox 360 hard drive since the software required is stored on the hard drives
themselves. 3rd party hard drives or non-official Xbox 360 hard drives will not work.

Original xbox games not playing on xbox 360 s 4gb, and not wanting to purchase hard drive

You can buy either this HDD

And you'll be good to go. Just make sure they are the official Microsoft HDD drive.

Are you having this issue with other games, or just this game?

First, if you have a removable hard drive, detach and reattach it. If that doesn't work, I would try clearing the cache 3 times and trying again. To do this, go to Settings>System>Memory, press Y, choose Clear System Cache. Doing this 3 times is recommended.
Then try restarting the game. If that doesn't work, I'd try turning off the console, unplugging the power cable from the back, pressing the power button 10 times, plugging it back in, and trying again.

Is your Xbox 360 hard drive an official hard drive? If you bought a '360 Hard drive' from private sellers on eBay or Amazon, then it's likely that the drive is not official hard drive.

Only official Xbox 360 hard drives from Microsoft will play original Xbox games using backwards compatibility. Only they contain the files in order for the emulation software to work. This will not effect Xbox 360 titles.

It's likely because the hard drive you're using on the Xbox 360 isn't an official Microsoft hard drive. Only official Xbox hard drives from MS will allow you to run original Xbox games made backwards compatible on the 360 platform.

Original Xbox games won't run on a 360 if:

You don't have an internal hard drive
Your internal drive is not official - knock off hard drives from eBay and Amazon won't run original games.
Your 360 hard drive is faulty

Hello,

This problem usually occurs when you have an Xbox 360 hard drive that is not genuine. This can happen if this Xbox 360 hard drive was purchased from a place like eBay or Amazon Marketplace and it was not an original Xbox 360 hard drive.

Only hard drives manufactured by Microsoft in their packaging have the emulation files needed to play original Xbox games. The hard drives that are purchased from eBay / Amazon Marketplace are usually fake/knock off hard drives which can only play Xbox 360
games.
