Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Cable to Computer Hard Drive Question

I was wondering if I could use this method to use a computer hard drive with my xbox one? I have already tried and it doesn't seem to be working so I was wondering if anyone has any advice. Also I was wondering if there was another method to hook a computer
hard drive into your xbox one. Thank You

I should probably elaborate and say I took the hard drive out of the computer so its not connected in anyway and also part of the reason I am asking even though its not working is because my xbox is having trouble detecting my USB Flash Drives so I was thinking
that potentially it may just be having trouble detecting my hard drive.

I think you'd be better off buying a USB 3 enclosure for the drive and using it that way with your One.

They can be had for around $20 on Amazon.

You can get a Hard Drive Transfer cable and use it to transfer everything from the old hard drive, to the new one. They cost $19.99 new, or you can possible find one used at a game store near you. Using a USB thumb drive to transfer files won't always work,
as some games lock files to the hard drive, as well as some games (Forza for example). Not to mention, depending on how much is on your hard drive, it can take a a long time and be very tedious.

You will definitely be able to get your game saves from the cloud storage on your new Xbox 360, so long as they are not locked to your current Xbox 360.

Also, you won't have to delete all the files on you're Xbox 360 hard drive when you're done transferring them. You can format the hard drive in the settings, and if I remember correctly, when you use a hard drive transfer cable, the old hard drive gets formatted
anyway.
