Xbox 360 hard drive not appearing while connected to live

i can assure you, you have not been hacked because the first Thing you would see in this case is a message "you gamertag has last been signed in on a different console"

also everything you have purchased always stays connected with the gamertag used, even if dlc would be deleted, either by Intention or error, you will be able to redownload it via download history menu without any fees.

now question is - is your hdd faulty or is it something else?

you say it does not apper while connected to live - does your hdd appear when you start your xbox without any Internet Connection?

can you try your hdd on a different xbox?

it is xbox live that is causing the issues, connecting wirelessly seemed to work better for awhile, my hdd isn't faulty. Then wirelessly connecting started doing the same thing taking longer to bring up my hdd. I say it voids my dlc, as i fell asleep on
youtube the night before and tried to play halo 4 multiplayer in the morning and it said i needed to be connected to marketplace(but i was connected to xbox live) and my dlc wasnt working. i dont know if it was my xbox but it would not connect to fall of cybertron
servers the day before that.

i mean it kept track of useable data fine until connecting back to xbox live. All my issues point to something screwy going on with my internet or xbox live, Because everything works fine offline.

The above update error code refers that the Xbox cannot download the update from Xbox Live, and does not have anything to do with the hard drive. I don't think that an update can damage the Xbox 360. You may have lost connection while downloading and installing
the update, causing the error codes mentioned. Also if you have hard drive issues, it is not needed to get the Xbox 360 repaired, all you need to do is purchase a new hard drive.

Updates that already exist will prompt for download when you fire up the game itself while your console is connected to live.
